Primary School

Primary School

Grades 1 to 4

Our second cycle is Primary School, covering from 1st to 4th grade. In this cycle, we ensure the development of fundamental skills needed to face various life situations through an integrated-bilingual education model. This includes essential values and skills for social development.

Key life skills include scientific competencies, which encompass the development of scientific thinking, reflective attitude, and creativity. Mathematical competencies involve the ability to formulate, solve, and model real-world phenomena, as well as communicate, reason, compare, and apply procedures. Communicative competencies include assertive verbal/non-verbal communication, reading, and writing. Citizenship skills focus on proposing creative and innovative solutions to individual and social problems with increasing intelligence, understanding, fairness, and empathy. Lastly, socio-emotional competencies such as respect, trust, self-esteem, identity, and tolerance to frustration are emphasized.

In Primary School, our teaching team and support professionals are deeply committed to a collaborative approach that places the student at the center as a whole being, to be supported and enhanced in their various ways of being, doing, learning, and interacting.

As in the previous cycle, the environment established to foster Amazing Learning is close, trustworthy, welcoming, and safe. Additionally, communication with families is fluid, timely, and systematic, aimed at always supporting each student's learning and well-being.

Starting in 2024, the curriculum for Grades 1 and 2, and starting in 2025 for Grades 3 and 4, will be based on the “International Curriculum Association”

(ICA) through the IPC (International Primary Curriculum) model. It will be implemented through the dimensions of “Subject Learning” (knowledge, skills, and understanding),

“International Learning” (global competencies and international mindset), and “Personal Learning” (learning to be a responsible citizen in a globalized society).
